Striker
 

Is there anything that needs to be done to the striker to keep it in top working condition ?
I have a carbon striker that came with my H.S. Strut LI'L Duce..
And also is there a need for other type striker's ?

..keep the strikers rough on the bottom,to prevent sliding on the surface of the call
and different strikers have somewhat different sounds,my vavorite is hickory and
rosewood...i found that carbon can be hard to work,hope i helped..:eek::eek:

I have always had trouble getting the hollow carbon strikers to make good turkey talk. To use my calls in the rain I use solid tipped acrylic strikers. The best sounding strikers I have are purple heart and black walnut. I think wood just sounds better as long as its not to wet outside.
