I've also heard good reviews but I will just stick to my 835. One of the original purposes of coming out with a 3 1/2 in. 12 Ga. was because of being limited in 10 Ga.'s to shooting 3 1/2 in. shells. They came out with the 12 so waterfoulers could take their duck gun to the skeet range. If I can't shoot 2 3/4 shells in mine I would just assume go back to the 10 Ga.
Just my opinion though. If you are looking for an auto that only shoots 3" and 3 1/2" then I'm sure the Mossberg is a good shoutgun.

I want to know, too. I wrote to Mossberg and asked if they would be making other barrels available, now or later, as Cabelas is selling one for turkeys with a 22" barrel right now, which is great, but won't work so well in the fall on ducks or geese. I assume that Mossberg will come out with a line of other barrels, slug barrel, longer (26 or 28 inch) smoothbores for the 935, etc., but I don't want to plunk down my $ until I know they will be doing so, and the salesperson at Cabelas couldn't tell me for sure that Mossberg was going to make a variety of barrels for the gun. (He also didn't know if the gun is even built to accomodate interchangeable barrels.)

I did read a rave review of the gun in a magazine a few days ago, though it was about a prototype model, or at least, apparently, not the one Cabelas is selling right now, as it was used for waterfowl and had a longer barrel. If Mossberg writes back, I'll post their reply.

I'm about 95% committed right now to getting one before this spring turkey season. (My wife thinks I should be committed, period.)

Turkey-dog ,

What makes you think you can only shoot 3" & 3 1/2" shells in the 935 ??

They have the same kind of barrel as the 835. They should be good shooters.

Mossberg says that they will only function with 3 & 3 1/2 shells. I have heard reports that heavy 2 3/4 shells will cycle. I think it is a promotional thing by Mossberg. If you say it won't shoot cycle 2 3/4 shells, than there can be no complaints when it doesn't. I ordered one last week and it should be in soon. I will post how it shoots when I get it.
