..somewhere around my hunting woods,is a true gobbling hen,this may sound like
a stupid story but its true,and yes i gave up drugs long ago,last spring season i herd
something i never heard before,i was spirng hunting 2003 season and heard a very,
very strange gobble,and then right after that every tom in the woods gobbled
plus the 22 pounder that was by (her) or (HIS))side so i begain to move in on
this strange gobble,but the big tom was gobbling there to but when i got there
i saw a (hen)turkey gobble,well identified it was a hen..so at 40 yards late season
i moved in..and at 30 yards that hen gobbled right passed me,neck exstend with
a strange short gobble...and guess what the big (TOM) turkey was right with her
i would have gave anything to have had a tape recorder..but the tom got a load
of 5## shot...22 pounder..never went back to that area the rest of the season..
....this is a true hunt...this one,s for you (STRUT)...

I believe everything you have seen. Years back I taped a Hen gobbling. The gobbles from a hen are very broken up as the volcal cords are not as large as the Toms. Its something to see thats for sure....BT
