Why only till noon?

How come in some states, like Pennsylvania[:-], you can only hunt till 12pm for turkeys? I've been wondering about this for a while....

The answer, as I understand it, is because that it when hens are on the nests and the state does not want hunters moving about the woods interferring with the nesting process

For the 2nd half of the spring gobbler season in VA you will now be allowed to hunt all day vs. in the past years, you could only hunt till noon.

We get to hunt all day long here in TN. I like that a lot more bc a lot of the turkeys that I have killed are in the evening just before they fly up to roost. I mainly like to roost a tom then come get him in the morning though. That really is a blast. BB

Yeah we have all day here in Iowa but bhw is right as to why some states end earlier in the day.
