Breaking wind locator call - Fact or Urban Legend?
 

I've heard many turkey hunters jokingly refer to this. However, can it really induce a shock gobble? Has anybody had any success with this method? Or is it just a myth?

:DHeck I`ve seen turkeys shock gobble to many different things but I`ve never let one go that loud!

Why don't you eat a big ole batch of spicy chili, go out and try it in the woods some morning at daybreak, see if it works and let us know! Don't forget a roll of TP in case your new locator call has a blowout!:D:D

Dude if you could shock gobble a bird doing that. One of two thing. You are really close or you need some serious medical attention!!!!!

I just had to move this to the top so Adrian would find it.He is an expert at usin that call.The hens sure seem to like it but personally I think that call stinks:D

Breaking wind call? Heck, I'm with MOTurkeTamer. Cook up some Chili and use your "natural voice".

I read an article in a turkey magazine (Turkeys and Turkey Hunting??) last year about a guy who has tallied a lot of different sounds that turkeys have shock gobbled to. I think he had over 100 different sounds, maybe 200, maybe more. I distinkly (pun intended) remember one of the more "unusual" sounds, as he claimed it, was exactly what we're talking about here, some guy passed gas and made noise and a tom shock gobbled. So, if you believe everything you read, NJlongbeard, then the answer is Yes!!
