Can't use decoys!!!!
I was just wondering how many states can't use decoys. We can't use them in Alabama but I here alot of people from other states talking about using them. Makes me think that there is not too many states that can't.[>:]

We can use decoys here in MI as long as they are not mechanical.

We can also use decoys in PA, I could be wrong, but I'm 90% sure the decoys cannot be mechanical.

Decoys are legal in RI, but the regs say you can't use live birds. I can't imagine anyone using a live bird, but I guess you never know... Electronic calls are illegal tho.

Here in Iowa they just cant be live birds. I'm not sure about being mechanical but I dont need to know that anyway.

You are correct Pahunter, We can use decoys in PA but we can't use any that operate on any type of battery or electrical power source. We can however us wind activated decoys or even tie string to them for movement.

Same as everyone else here too Bama!But even with the opportunity to do so I rarely do so dont feel that short changed,its not really a neccassity to kill turkeys!;)

Bama, though I'm sure it would be nice to make the choice
yourself, I think I've had more gobblers avoid my dekes than I've had come into them. The longer I hunt, the more I doubt how much they work! |
