RE: using red dot scopes
My dad has been thinking about getting one. I was wondering....is it easy to see the red dot when it is light out and is it easy to aim with?

RE: using red dot scopes
I don't use one, but I have a friend that swears by them...he even put on a muzzleloader.....I've played around with his some.....they have an adjustment for the light intensity, depending on whether is light or darker outside, so there is no problem seeing them in any conditions......the only problem I see with them, is forgetting to turn them off after hunting.....I think those little batteries are expensive.

RE: using red dot scopes
This will be my first year with a red dot. I just got the Docter red dot from Cabelas. Kind of steep but the size is what sold me. I can't wait to get it mounted. It's almost idiot proof. Always on with a battery life measured in YEARS and auto brightness control. It's built tough and should last until my turkey hunting days are through.

I've had one on my bow for years.
