Slate Call Plans

Anyone know a link/source for plans to make a slate call? I have a line on some good stone and a gifted woodworking hunting partner. Thought we might give it a try. I did a search but turned up nada. Thanks.

Not sure this is what your asking---but I had fun making some custom calls as Christmas presents from kits from this site:

RE: Slate Call Plans

I just finished 2 calls i made myself. one is a two sided pot that one surface is glass and the other is aluminum. The other is one i made is made out of walnut and has a slate over glass. the walnut one i did some wood burning to it and put 3 coats of polyurathane on it, man it looks sharp. I made both of these from the links they supplied you. Both turned out really well. they sound great. I tuned them myself. I also made a hickory striker and a purple heart striker. I recommend making them. Its alot of fun and it will be a hell of alot better if i kill a turkey with a call i made :D.
If you have questions let me know

here are the links
http://www.customsawing.com/ THis has the best prices on wood pots and striker rods

http://www.grassycreekcalls.com/ This site is the best place to buy your slate, glass or what ever surface you want. This site does not sell wood pots. So buy your surface from these guys and buy your strikers and pots from the other site

i hope this helps

Here's another one. Kind of funky looking slate call, but who knows?
