Best Mouth call

What brand and model do you reach for in your vest. I know many work for different situations, but what is your ol' stand by that you just love

When it comes to mouth calls My favorite brand is Quaker Boy! They seem to fit my mouth just right. I like to use the Old Boss Hen for my purrs and clucks and yelping along with them. If I feel the need to get aggressive and use some cutting or cackling and aggressive yelps and such I use either the Jagged Edge or the World Champ. Primos is good too.

Quakerboy just seems to have the best feel for me. Jagged Edge is my personal favorite from their line.

I mainly like the Viper by H.S. Strut. A close second is the Quaker Boy Nasty Ole Hen. Both sound very good. BB

I'm no turkey hunting expert, but I bought a Knight & Hale call set, it has four different mouth calls...they are all good IMO[:-]

I've always kinda liked the H.S. Strut Cuttin' 2.5 in the Alumistrut frame. But every year I like to try at least a couple of new ones to see if I can find one I like better, but so far I haven't found anything I like better than the H.S. Strut. I'm always open to suggestions though!:)

My favorites, in order, are:
Primos double-stacked frames--True Double, True Double II
Mad High Frequency (red)--any cut
Knight & Hale (something about a) Hen IV (KH 143)
Primos Many Beards(?)

I'm always looking for other/better--I have a specific diaphragm that I prefer for each turkey sound--yelp, putt, purr, flydown cackle, cutt, gobbler yelp, tree yelp, ground cackle, kee kee run--that I think sounds the best, which I have acquired over teh years, but I can make (most all) the sounds on each different diaphragm, too. Guess I have too much time on my hands!!

Though I like stacked frames, I do not like the palet plate or tone trough style diaphragms, at all. I know they're said to be better for the gag reflex, but, to me, they just feel funny/awkward.

I like the H.S. Strut Ghost Lite. Also use Primos Limb Hanger and The Diamond Cutter. :D

It sounds to me like a lot of guys like mass produced calls by the major companies. I on the other hand, like helping out smaller companies who make great calls. One company that is on the rise is Legacy Calls by William Terry. He makes some great mouth calls. My favorite is "lady's Night." A lot of people like his calls and Bass Pro has started sellin his mouth calls. Get you some of these, I promise you won't be dissapointed.
