how many gobblers have come to your setup.
last year i had five gobblers come to my setup.
i had two gobblers come to my setup about 60 yards and they both started to fight and then all of a sudden three came in to see whats going on. so the three went over to the other two and started to fight. it lasted about one minute and all went different ways. i couldn't get a shot off,because out of range.i wish i had a camcorder and filmed this.

Gs, I've had as many as 12 longbeards come into a fall set-up before.:)

My best is 5 as well. I was w/i 50 yards of them roosted last year. There is a major highway not far away - everytime a tractor-trailor roared down the road - they went crazy.

Just as it broke daylight, i started w/ some soft yelps and a imitated a fly-down. These gobblers went nuts trying to fly down and get to me first. I had all 5 within 10 yards. I actually had to wait until they seperated a little since we are only allowed 1 in PA.

What a blast!

Your not going to believe this , but back years ago in Florida , I had somewhere around 30 Gobblers come into one setup and from different directions, 3/4 of them where silent, as they all ran in to about 40 yards from me they took into the jumping, spuring, and doing the fighting purr. One gobbler came from my right and I heard a couple of gobbles as he got closer. The in view I seen this bird run past into the flock and started to fight with the rest. I could not believe me eyes , There was no way to shoot because birds where everywhere. All of a sudden as they started , they all stopped and this One bird alone came out of the pack in strut and walked towards me. He gobbled and wondered out away from the rest , and I shot. It was about a 19lb bird ,9 inch BD, and 1 3/8 spurs.I'll never forgot that hunt as long as I live...BT

A few seasons ago myself and a fellow hunter had 13 gobblers in a pasture on opening day in front of us. We ended up pulling a double on a couple of longbeards. Pretty exciting!;)

i tell you this is the truth....i had 50 turkeys in front of me on the 2nd weekend in our season......their were 35 gobblers and the rest are hens.......they were flyin off hills left and right gobbling struting around it was great....we got a triple that morning..........

Hey bobcat 10. Where do you coon hunt in Tenn.? My pops owns about 15 walker hounds. He has several of the Yadkin River line. Just wandering by your picture of the walker dog.

i hunt in middle tennessee in bedford county....i have 5 walkers....that is my young dog that i made night champion in ukc....we have the blood line from hard knockin hayes ....good bloodline.....

Pops hunts in western Tenn. I think in Green Co. He has friends in that area. That is a good lookin hound you have. Just reminded of some we have had. Good luck on turkey season and your hounds.
