Lonesome hen push button call.
I lost my old push button call last year and was thinking about getting the "Lonesome Hen" by KNight@Hale. Any of you use this one and what do you think of it?

RE: Lonesome hen push button call.
got one for my wife , because of the ease of use.she has learned to use it well and it sounds great.
I was walking back to where I left her last year and stopped ever so often to call and she answered me and I though it was a live hen.(sounded real good). so yes I would say it is a good call. |
RE: Lonesome hen push button call.
To be honest,
A friend Bought One, Sounds like crap, 2 me, He tuned and tuned it and tuned [X(].Didnt sound any better. I'd Purchase a Lohman Sassy Hen, New of 2004. Seems Nice And Its Wood instead of plastic. |

Ben,I've used one for the last couple years and like it!It does take some tuning and works better imho taking the whole call in your hand and instead of plunging the plunger with your finger or thumb, take the whole call and and use it as the plunger having the plunger itself placed against a solid base such as a rock, tree trunk,or even your knee cap, something thats solid and wont give!To me this sounds great and most importantly to the gobblers too! This call has been a great back-up to my mouth calls!;)

RE: Lonesome hen push button call.
I had one a few years ago, and it worked very well.;) I recomended it to a guy at Bass Pro the other day because he was a beginner to calling and he needed something easy to use. Like bobgobble said, strike it on a rock or your knee for more realistic, consistent calling. Just play with it until you get the right tone and sound. I just got fang diaphram from H.S. Stut. Has anybody had any luck with them yet?

RE: Lonesome hen push button call.
I bought one last year and also worked on it to get it to sound right. I never felt that it sounded like a real hen, in fact, on one occasion, I used it and noticed a jake run the other way after hearing mycall. I dideverything I could to make it sound good.
