man ve it something fierce...went hog hunting today , well i ended up where i hunted this past season, even found my stand, walked right up on it, well 20 yards and i had no clue i was even heading that way , lol.....i was in aw by all the turkey scratching , new old, looked like 300 birds would of been there....it's a long walk and it's not my turkey honeyhole, but i think i'll hunt it at least one day....i'll keep an eye on it, our season opens march 20 , so i have some time still....i knew it was a good area for deer and hog, but i didnt see much turkey sign when i found it , but i knew they were close, like 200 yards, but no real sign around my deer stand....now there is :D[8D]:D[8D]:)[:-];):D:)

Man you guys who start in march have it easy. Up her in Pennsylvania we don't start until May 1st and we can only shoot one bird!!! But there is some talk of changing that. I had the itch before christmas, man am I going to drive my wife nuts in the meantime. I'll be making some homemade strikers and maybe venture into making my own slate call this year, which will probably just make want to get out hunting even more!:(

I broke out my calls two weeks ago!! I've been watching all my tapes, yelping and clucking away, and I won't be able to hunt a turkey until April 14th!! Thank God that I'll get to go scouting in March!!!

huntnma--I'd sweep my stand area smooth around March 15th, so that I could tell if the sign is new!!

Started practicing with my mouth calls 2 weeks ago, and watched some vid's this weekend. Already looked for, but couldn't find my left over camo gun tape. Yep, I can fell it coming on....cough, twitch, wheeze....another bout of Turkey Brain combined with non-localized chronic Gobbler-o-sis. I musta caught it from hanging out you nuts. There's only one pill to cure this ill.
Good luck to everybody!
