20 Gauge

I was wondering if anyone uses a 20 gauge for turkeys and how they like it compared to a 12 gauge and also if you could tell me what the effective range would be for the 20 compared to the 12.

20 gauge will do the job, but you need to know its limitations - pattern, pattern, pattern

What WANWTF said.My 12 yr old killed his first turkey this fall with a 20ga.You'll just need to bring em in closer than with a 12ga. but heck that's half the fun.Good Luck.
