NC winter season

For the first time, NC will have a week of turkey season in January. What is the strategy for hunting them in the dead of winter? Busting flocks and trying to re-assemble them? With what calls?

I would think busting the flocks is the best way. If you know where they are headed, an ambush may be better.

aren't there only a few counties that will allow turkey hunting in the winter?

its not state wide right?
