Loads for Remington 11-87
I was wondering what loads those of you with a Remington 11-87 or 870 shotgun have had most success with. High velocity, 3", 2 3/4", etc?

RE: Loads for Remington 11-87
I'd start out with Win 2oz #5's and Win HV #5's and if they don't pattern well try all the other name brands.

RE: Loads for Remington 11-87
Another vote for the Winchester 3" High Velocity 1 3/4oz of #5's!!! I also like the 2 3/4" 1 5/8oz of #5's by Winchester as well!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Loads for Remington 11-87
In my 11-87 I found the Win. Supreem Double x Magnum #6 - three inch worked the best.
I went to a Turkey Gun Patterning Event at a Shooting club Three years ago. They had about 25 different loads for me to try at $1 a shot. It was well worth it .I shot about 10-12 different shells and realized I had found the right one. I shot all the different loads in my gun for $10-$12! If you can find a event like this in your area that is the way to go. Roman |

Goldie76: I shoot a Rem. 11-87 and have found that Federial 3" #4 shot works well in mine.

RE: Loads for Remington 11-87
I've had good luck with the factory extended x-full and rem. 4x6 loads in my 11-87 but my sons shots the rem premier mag 5's best it just depends on the gun choke combo every one seems to be a little different
