I believe that. A couple seasons it's been easy.

Roost them. Gobble on the roost. Fly down. Shoot bird.

And a couple seasons they've been the smartest creature in the woods( me included! :s2:)

I don't have high hopes. I lost my good turkey farm to some tractor dealer rich guy in Pittsburgh. So I'm kinda trying my luck on a few small properties and public land.

reminds me of gobblers past,, one 4 yo in particular, was on him 9 mornings in a row, nothing was working like it was supposed to, one morning he would fly down, start coming to the call then shut up, next he might sail a mile in the opposite direction. same gobbler,, same tree, then the 10th morning he hopped down came in on a string. welcome to spring gobbler hunting.

There are a few of us left and most of us miss those contests. Just not enough folks to make the teams.

I have been pretty busy helping out Veteran organizations that get vets and first responders out in the outdoors. Between that and work its been pretty dang busy. Glad to see your doing well.
