2022 Turkey Hunting
Been away for some time, super excited for this spring!
Emotions are high I have a public land long beard all picked out and planed for then I received great news, I got my limited tag where I left a long beard 2 years ago taking a different gobbler. I'm going to prioritize the limited tag making sure there is still a long beard there and hope the other long beard stays safe till I can get there. Of course best laid plans...... How is everyone else faring? |
I drew a WY tag. Going to try and get a public land Merriam mid April.
|
Here in Ohio, the ODNR lowered the bag limit to 1. If I can locate one, I'll try to fill my tag, but first, I'll be hunting in WV with 2 tags in my pocket!
|
I wish you both luck sounds like you're going to have a very fun season. :barmy:
If the weather is good here in Colorado this weekend, I'm going to put some trail cameras out to get a jump on patterns in my limited area, just something I started a few years ago. |
They lowered the bag limit here in Oklahoma from 3 down to 1 so I'll be spending most of my time helping out fellow Vets and a few disabled youths with filling their tags. Should be a fun season. If I have time and money left I might give NW Nebraska a shot or head back up to the Black Hills.
Good luck to all this season Kelly |
I'll be out in PA as long as nothing interferes with those plans. Hoping for 3 or 4 days at least.

Anyway, good luck!! |
I got an invite to hunt birds out in Eastern Ohio, on private land. Not sure I can pull this one off, as it's really far.
We'll see. |

Near Cosocton is all I know.
That's the best deer hunting in the state. I don't know about turkey, but it's a nice area to be. -Jake |
I have some family in southern Illinois, thinking of taking my son down at the end of the month for their youth season
|
A quick search for turkeys in Wyoming shows turkeys in the black hills of Wyoming but other than that I have no info, I just love hunting the Merriam's and Rios of Colorado, good luck. :fighting0007:

DJFan,
I have a house in Big Horn, which is near Sheridan. Going to try public land in the area. Have always seen turkeys around and the winters in the foothills of the Bighorn’s are fairly mild. Time will tell how I do. |
