Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Never too early

I'm not a Turkey hunter myself, but an acquaintance who hunts property I oversee has already contacted me about it this spring. Maybe i should give it a whirl if i can find the time.

Only try it if you're ready to welcome a new addiction into your life.

What Jake said. I tried turkey hunting almost 40 yrs ago. Nothing better than a bird talking to you that you know is coming in. Similar would be rutting elk.

I am NOT a good turkey hunter yet. I've taken three spring gobblers. And a handful of fall birds which to me is totally different than springtime hunting.

But I've had a blast learning about them the last few years that I've hunted them seriously. Had to miss last season due to homeschooling the kids cause of covid. I'm EXCITED to get back after them this spring.

I started a number of years ago just to do something in the spring . Now I've killed well over a hundred birds in 16 different states and one province with shotgun, bow and crossbow. I guess you could say its a little bit addictive lol

I want to take a couple days and go follow JW around. Learn from someone who knows what's going on. But I don't think the wife will approve it unless I give up something else lol
