Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Congrats on your season. The only thing weird in Wisconsin is that you haven't killed every bird in the state and made them extinct lol

Ha. I've hunted other states. Pretty much walked away with one good bird.
I just really enjoy this hunt.
So much I do take others out to teach and share my passion.
I also am a teacher in Wisconsin's Learn to Hunt program as an event program organizer, a teacher/presenter as a Hunter Ed instructor, and Hunter.
At times I have stepped up to teach current regulations and biology if the warden or state area biologist cant make it.
It is a Free guided 2 day hunt to anyone, resident or non- resident.
This program is held in various areas throughout the state.
Did I tell U it is free!
Free seminar. Free lunch. Free Turkey calls at times. Totally FREE 2 day license. FREE!

I've learned to look after yourself before you take to many others out. lol How ya doing JW ?

I'm doing Adrian. Took another new hunter out yesterday. The Jakes helped me. They herded him in our direction. My box call coaxed him in.

How you doing?

Spoiler

State average harvest rate is around 28%. So if basic a.c llt one out of 4 hunters will fill his tag.
I had more than my share of tags this yr.
Hunted 39 out of a 42 day season. A slight mishap forced me to miss a few days.
I got to follow Turkey behavior as the days grew warmer. The last 2 weeks this year where fantastic
Overall though birds where not as vocal as past yrs.
I filled 8 of 12.
People I took out went 5 for 6.
No Jake's where harmed in this frenzy!
My equipment is washed, repaired, polished, dried and put away.

And I got to hunt with a past Chatter from HNI. Plans set for a possible re-do next yr.
