Heck!! I stalked the last 2 toms without any vest or anything to carry them but holding both legs while hiking back to the truck. Sure is lots easier crawling to sneak up on them without a vest, etc. I hadn't heard about the paracord turkey tote before and may have to check that one out. It sounds like it would fit in a pants pocket.

Back to the OP's question, I got a Knight & Hale RNG 300 vest this year, and have been very pleased with it. The "backpack" portion has a spot for a 1L (I believe that's the size) hydration pack. I haven't used it, but it is compatible. I love the vest, worth checking out.

I have a remove-able, fill-able bladder I stick in my back pouch.
The vest I have I bought because a portion went to cancer research. It was for a well known turkey hunter.
It has a big zipper back- pack type pouch.
The bladder comes with a drinking tube.
Use the same bladder for upland vest too.

I think I've sort of figured it out for this season. The last 2 toms I got were not that far from the truck so I just stalked them with the shotgun only. No pack or hydration bladder with me. I'm still trying to figure out a vest and will likely change it up even more. I still want a water bladder for the longer hikes though.

My hunch is that based on the price of the upland vest, that it's gonna be in the $150-200 range and at that price I doubt they'll market it before Christmas 2018 - it will need field tests and reviews.
I suspect sometime Spring 2019. I wouldn't be surprised if they unveil something at either the SHOT show convention (Jan 2019) or NWTF convention (Feb 2019) - this would allow them to get comments/expert reviews and take limited orders to put it in some people's hands for Spring 2019 season
