Texas Question
As a nonresident hunting spring turkey on private property, do I need the Type 157 five day in addition to the Type 118 turkey license if I want to shoot a javelina and/or any coyotes I come across? That's the way I read it anyway. Any other endorsements that I'm not aware of? First TX trip for me. Thanks for any help.

Looks like the turkey (118) is only good for turkey and upland birds and the (157) would be needed for the yotes and javelina like ya said.
Come on to Oklahoma. License is $142 and Turkey tags are $10. |
I called parks and wildlife and the guy told me to get the Type 105 to cover the javelin, yet the turkey tag says Not Valid with that type of license. Their own people couldn't tell me what I needed for sure.

looks like the 105 will cover it also but is a year long license. Or you can get the other 2 cheaper but the 157 is only a 5 day license. Not sure why they are making it so difficult lol several states have been doing that. Why not have a hunting license and then tags for each animal? Boom simple lol

In Texas I only hunted turkeys and 5 turkeys for 126 bucks was a good deal I hope the don't change and add the hunting license requirement ! 315 plus 15 or even 10 for a turkey licence would suck ! But that's just my opinion sorry I couldn't help with the question. |
And VWDanimal have fun hunting turkeys in Texas! For me it was a blast except for all the thorny things and snakes with fangs you run into while crawling around LOL !

Yeah, some states non-resident costs are a little ridiculous. I live in Tennessee. Even though I have land in Alabama, since I am not a resident, I can't hunt as a landowner. I have to purchase a non-resident hunting license to hunt my own land!!! $300+ for it...that ain't right, if you ask me. At least you get turkey tags for that...
