Getting ready already - 2018 season
 

I just got the jeep reservation and plane tickets for 2018 spring season opener :woot:


I'm leading 2 friends on their 2nd spring turkey hunt. JP busted his 1st in 2016, and Bobby got his 1st in 2017.

I hear ya. I am ready myself. I am going to try a multi state hunt out West hopefully

I had a conference on the Big Island in 2008 and took a day to circumnavigate the entire island. I was amazed at how many birds I saw. I called in an entire flock of gobblers near the southern tip, and just using my voice I called in 4-5 jakes right through a plantation. I took off, they were pretty aggressive to the point I was actually concerned that they were going to attack the rental car.

I'd like to hunt that island at some point in the future. Sitting here in Michigan, it sounds really nice thinking about hunting turkeys in the morning and then enjoying the sand and snorkel in the afternoon...
