I was planning on buying some wild turkeys, i wanted to know about how far they went from there home .......

It all depends on the type of turkey you wanted to buy... And how can you buy " Wild" turkeys? If someone has to capture them they wouldn' t be " wild" anymore would they?

Turkeys normally range within 2.5 miles of where they were hatched or released.

You might look into the mortality rate on releasing " Wild" turkeys. I live in ks and there was a guy who raised some so called wild turkeys, we watched them after they left his farm for about two weeks and two weeks was a the longer they made it. Without a brood hen they stood no chance with the coyoteees.

Before you buy Wild turkeys You had better check to make sure they were legally taken! I would also make sure that it is legal in your state to release turkeys into the wild. But that is just my opinion.
