Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Scouting, numbers down?

Covered A LOT of ground on Saturday scouting. Very windy, so that didn't help any. Got into an area I've been looking to scout at first light...not a whole lot of life, then I finally strike and area stacked with tracks, bowls and strut marks. I'm fiddling with the GPS and out of the blue a bird gobbled ~250 yards away. I backed out of there but tried to shock him again, no dice. Temp was 39 at first light, mid-70s later in the day. Looking like a good bet for an area come opening day. Saw one flock of hens, no tom in site in a different area. Still seems a bit scarce. Did see a 200+# hog out there too
