Deer hunt yielded feathers

I've been on my current deer lease in the Hill Country of Texas for 12 years. This is the first time I've had turkeys get within range. Got two on 11/12 Saturday morning hunt and one more that afternoon. All tagged at between 75 and 125 yards with my deer rifle, a Remington 700 in 7mm-08.

Currently have breasts marinating for dinner this evening.

Make sure to leave some for the spring! BTW...how'd the marinated breasts come out?

The marinated turkey was delicious. The marinade was made with honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and seasoned salt. A recipe my son found on the internet. First time cooking wild turkey and I think we overcooked just a little, but still very tasty.

I got one more on 11/19, so I've now used all four of my turkey tags for the year.
