Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Most members will answer this kind of question based on the game laws in the state they live in. I noticed that you don't list the state you live in so members would not know if pistols are legal for hunting turkeys or not. In CA, pistols aren't allowed for hunting turkeys so the question is kind of moot for me.

Here you can not use anything other than a shotgun or bow no questions asked.. There is some trying to get them to change the law to allow a small caliber rifle on them .. I like the way it is and it makes a better challenge in my opinion.. When trying to call them in for a close shot.

In PA it is shotgun and fine shot or bow and arrow only for spring turkey.

In WA state it's shotgun (modern or muzzle loader), with #4 or smaller shot; or bow only.
