Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default March 22nd and too late for Turkey contest!?

It's only March. Some of our season's don't open for over a month, and yet it's too late to sign up? Are you kidding me?

Oh, I understand why. I still think it sucks.

What states are open right now anyways?

It may suck, but you had plenty of time to join the contest. They may still let you in though. Don't know about all the states open now, but Texas and Florida are open for sure. I'm sure there are others. My state, Louisiana, opens this weekend.

Yeah, but most people from the north don't think to go and sign up for a contest 8+ weeks in advance so plenty of time didn't help. Then again, thats probably why these contests used to have over 250 people signup and now they have only 4 teams.
Ps. I don't consider 4 weeks "plenty" of time.

If I remember right most years sign up begins the middle of Jan ( not this year), that's when I start looking for it so I don't miss it, but you may be able to be reserve and replace a no show.
The southern states seasons start early then the west and central states then the north. My season starts in 2 wks in Colorado.
Good luck both on getting in the contest and turkey hunting.
