Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Osceola outfitter recommendations

I'm sure the question has been asked many times but politely request recommendations for a reasonably priced competent guide to gun hunt Osceolas in Florida. A combo hog/turkey hunt wud be a bonus but the primary focus is on the bird. Lots of eastern longbeards the last 15 years and a dozen Merriams in Nebraska. Looking towards a South/Central Florida hunt. Thank you so much in advance.

Look up Doc Weddle, he's done a couple US slams, written a couple of books, and knows more about killing turkeys than anyone I have ever met. I finished my slam with him last year, he was more reasonably priced than any other outfit I could find, and will show you some public land to hunt after you kill your Osceola. And he's a heck of a nice guy as well. Send me a PM if you want contact information.

Billy Henderson with Deep South Outfitters. Killed my Osceola with him back in 2008. Buddy of mine killed his too. Took my son down there in 2012 and he missed, we are going back next month to try it again.

Do you have any contact info or a web site for Doc Weddle? All I can find on the net is his books for sale.

The farther south you go the "truer" the Osceola! I wouldn't go above Okeechobee personally. I hunt north of there maybe 50 miles and consistently shoot birds that have heavy banded wings.
