I have spring hunted turkeys for the past 10-12 years and I have never hunted them in the fall.

I am going to give fall turkey hunting a go.

I few questions Is a hen decoy good to use during the fall. I am just talking about using one decoy.

The other question is I need as many tips as possible.

I don't use any decoys in the fall...strictly pattern and ambush.

I live so far away from where I hunt I don't have time or $$$$ to pattern them.

I know they are in the area in the fall from deer hunting there but in the spring they don't hang around too much. They are pressured really hard in the spring.

I am going squirrel huntiing there tomorrow just to make sure the turkeys are there.

Or it's one hen decoy and soft purring to make a Tom feel that everything is fine over there by her..................... Bang !!!
