Best Broad head for Turkey
 
Hello,
I have a fall turkey hunt planed for this year and I need to know what the best broad head is for hunting turkey. I haven' t much turkey hunting with a bow and I need some help.

Seems everyone has their own oppion on this topic. I like the exspandables , because of the way they fly and the blades help slow the arrow as it enters. Some use Thunderheads but the use of a small washer between the head and the shaft is a good idea to slow the arrow down aswell. Most pass thorugh shot require a turkey chase, keeping the arrow with the bird helps a great deal. Hope this helps you with your question...BT

I posted a reply to this very same question under the bowhunting forum. I use NAP Gobbler Getters. They do exactly as Hare says. They slow penetration, and keep the arrow in the bird. I arrowed a hen last wk, and they worked perfect.
