it was a dissapointing season. only seen 2 jakes and a hen all spring. i suppose if it was easy everybody would do it. anybody else have the same luck as me...

Got my highest scoring bird this year. My longest beard. It was the only decent bird I saw worthy of shooting. But, on the other hand, I only got one bird for the second year in a row. I hope it isn't the start of a trend.

So far I'm having the worst year also. I had my chance and not sure if I will get any more. LOL Still fun just being out there.

I have gotten my first bird and still looking for my second one. The birds have been very quite here this year and giving us a tough hunt..

I'm still working at this year for a couple weeks yet. So far, I'd say the birds were as talkative as I've ever heard them.

Two more weeks for me over here in MI and the birds are as quiet as I've ever seen them with this lousy weather that started way back in November. I'm beginning to think the numbers are way down with very few birds even being seen this year and definitely not much gobbling, as I don't think they know what time of year it is. Our 10 day forecast is for highs way below normal and the same for lows. It looks like I have about a 3 day window of decent weather starting over the weekend to get er done or eat tag soup, which doesn't happen very often to me.
