Default 10ga federal HW #7's penetration test
Compared to a win HV #5... been reading on other forums that they compare to lead #5's... I shot them both at 40 yards at a 1/2" piece of particle board...

Well the lead #5's most of them stuck in board with about half sinking out of sight in board...

HW #7's did about the same... they did look like they may have penetrated just a tad better than lead#5's...

The pattern I get with HW 7's is a lot better in my 10ga than lead #5's...

So for the 10ga this year will be using the HW #7's

That Federal HW #7 is some mean stuff. Jellyhead for sure.

What choke are you using?

Cool..I have one. Also going to try a .695 Primos, and a .680 Hastings non-ported. The .695 is the schnizzle out of my SP-10 with Nitro loads.
