Well remember it's against the law for an individual to reload ammo without some kind of a special permit or license from I'm guessing the ATF. And to do so you better have some good insurance.

So don't expect anyone to do so for you. Now if you can find a friend or somone you know who has some reloading equipment who knows what they are doing, you might be set. But you both need to undertand the consequences and need to know what your doing and follow the certified loads when reloading TSS. You will need a decent scale that will weigh powder and shot very accurately and follow the certified reloading formula to a t. Some guys don't even have a press to load their TSS loads. But those that are doing this are buying brand new hulls that have been sized to factory specs. They just roll crimp their shells instead of using a press. Now I don't know all the specifics of loading this TSS, but I know most guys use factory new hulls and don't use the same hull over to reload again with this TSS. But now I don't know how much of that is just to be over safe with this TSS or if you could'nt use the shell over say one more time to reload again. I know when I reloaded lead loads I could use the same hull over and over again a many of times before I threw them away. But again, this stuff is't lead so you better get the facts from a guy like Hal and stick with the loads he gives out to a t. I know Hal has all of his loads sent out and are SAAMI approved.

Here's more on the link I provided above.

And if your gonna reload TSS, the 9's will be all you will ever need.

Brad C. 05-19-2013 06:04 PM

Let me show you just how bad this TSS is in a 20GA. Give me a sec. I think I can even show you one at 60yds. Now I'm not telling you to think you got a rifle with this stuff. But it will easily kill one at 60yds.

I can't find the 60yd pattern, but this was a 20GA pattern at 40yds from Hal.

That will toast one at 60yds if that's what your wanting.

That is an impressive pattern I will have to look into possibly doing a little reloading next season I have accurate scales as I used to do quite a bit of reloading before getting rid of my stuff a few years back and I like you would reuse hulls over and over but if I'm spending 60 dollars for a lb of shot ill splurge for the new hull. I would prob look at the data behind 8s and 7s as well sort of the same argument as 5s vs 7s if I'm going to shoot far I want the KE to go with it.

Here's another good one with a 20GA.

Now keep in mind I know Hal's pattern to be legit. But I can't say on the others how accurate that 10" circle is. Now I'm not accusing anyone of stretching it out some, but it is the internet.

I have 10" glass cutouts when I do my 10" circles. I had a glass company make 2 for me. Cost me $20.
