My 2013 gobbler [spur pics added]

Season opened April 24th and it was a washout for most of the day. Normally I like to hunt in the rain if it's light.
Went out in the afternoon and was set up hoping to see something when I noticed a big bird about a half mile from me in a wheatfield. Tried putting the move on him but when I got close he busted me. Went back to that area the next morning and heard a couple birds gobbling close but after they hit the ground they clammed up. Walked my but off for a couple hours trying to find some birds with no luck. Went home for dinner, shower and a nap and was back out in same area by 4pm. Got set up and called a couple times and heard a gobble on the backside of the woods I was in Hoofed it closer and got to the other side of the woods and saw two birds across the field about 300 yds away. I looked down the side of the woods I was in and saw a nice gobbler 100 yds away. I hit the slate call with a couple soft yelps and he popped into full strut He was interested but he wasn't coming in without seeing who was calling to him. He worked his way towards the other birds which met him halfway.It was a jake and a hen. He kicked the jake around a bit and then they started back the way he went over.I had to get closer !!! I had to belly crawl as far as I could and when I stopped, I wasn't happy. It was a long ways. He worked his way closer and I knew it was now or never. I squeezed the trigger and he went down and I was up and running. Good thing too as it took another round to finish him. BBD I paced it off at 63 yards. That sound crazy I know ,but I'm using Custom 3 in. 12 gauge NITRO hevishot 4x5x7 with a Primos tightwad choke .660 constriction. These shells cost $9 EACH but the are well worth it. Sometimes a bird just won't come in. :rolleye0011: Still can't believe the spurs on this bird. I will post a pic of them later. I plan on getting him mounted. He's chillin in the freezer :party0005:

Thanks ! The second shell was just a Winchester Supreme so only a $12? bird :s2:

When he gets mounted he'll be a $500 bird {YIKES}
Not sure what pose I'll get. I love a full strut but that's the most expensive.
