In MO the tons are henned up and we are in the heat of breeding. Expect to see alot of birds though due to high numbers of jakes last season. Lots of 2.5 year old birds that are very vocal.

Thanks for the replys! I'm hoping things pick up weather-wise in the next few weeks and more and more hens get bred so the toms are more active on the move and vocal. Please keep the updates coming! Thanks!

Care to share any decent spots? I'm hoping to go out for my first turkey tomorrow

Edit (4/29): Went out today, they are.

Well I'm leaving in a couple days. Heard that the birds last week were pretty henned up still. Soudns like another cold front is coming. Hoping that they are now past the peak of breeding and the toms are in search mode. Any other reports?
