Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Best find I've ever made! With Pics!

Well I'm tagged out but I was in the woods last night trying to get a friend of mine a good look at one. I was walking across a creek and noticed something that the guy i was with stepped on. This is by far the coolest one I have ever found and only one of four complete ones. I have found a lot of broken ones but this is the best one I've ever found. Its about 2 1/2 inches long so I think it's a spear head not an Arrow head. Does anyone know anything about this type of spear head? I would love to know when and where it came from if anyone know.

most likly not a spear head but rather a knife. everyone thinks the big ones were spear points but most are actually blades

Yea that makes sense. Do you have any idea which tribe this might have come from? If you are from the southern part of Ohio then you are pretty close to where I found this. Or maybe the rough age period that it could be from?

not sure exactly what it is as my points and books were stolen but the base is very similar to an adena only shortened or maybe a stilwell that had been reworked

if you look at yours. it has slight wings, appears at one time to have has serations, and the base looks to me to have been reworked along with the tip. which would put it right in line with a stilwell.
