Default Give Me Your Opinion On The 935 Mossberg

If I purchase the Mossberg 935 it will be used for turkey hunting only with 3.5" shells. I've been reading that the gun jams with light loads, but no problems with 3" or 3.5" and it patterns great.

My brother shot one for one season. Sold it the very next year. In my opinion, not a very good autoloader. With all the great semi auto shotguns out there I would keep looking. Just my opinion.

I read about the problems they seem to be with either light loads, and/or older model years. Those that use 3" and/or 3.5" claim no problems, I would be using it with 3.5" shells for turkey only and these same people also claim they are getting excellent patterns.

I do agree many other choices and better but for something I will use a few times in the spring I can't see spending near $1000 or more on one. I love the Winchester SX3, I found two used ones, one was $900 the other $1100

The question is, why do you need an autoloader? Me personally I like a pump and for the money can buy a very good pump with a ton of money in my pocket. If you are going to duck hunt or other multiple shot game birds I can see spending the money, by for a Turkey only gun, I am a pump Guy. Just my opinion. I shoot a Benelli Super Nova and love it a lot.

I had a mossberg 935 and it performed flawlessly with 3.5" shells. It patterned very well. I sold it because of my shoulder surgery.

they pattern great(with right choke/shell combo) they operate well, never had a problem with jamming(never shot light loads) the one and only thing i didnt like was how bulky it is.
