one call you cant hunt without?

Whats the one call in your arsenal you cant go into the woods without? Mine is a homemade tube call. For some reason if they wont answer any of my other calls i break out the tube call and bam! Whats yours?

Without a doubt, a mouth call. I use them 95% of the time anyway.

I have a vest full of calls....slate, aluminum, glass, anodized, box call, scratch box.....I still feel lost without a mouth call. Primos Piggyback true double.

My QB Finisher, a small slate call that works great for "small talk"

My hooks mouth call.

Slate call for me. I used to almost make fun of slate guys when I was younger, but I guess my ear now thinks my slate yelp, cut and purrs are superior, especially in starting situations. Mouth call goes in after 3rd for 4th gobble, but the slate is in my hand while I'm running and gunning the start up series.

type of call

mostly i use the diaphram but also keep my home made slate call at the ready. another call i like when there is a flock of birds really nearby is the push call, for certain sounds, they are easy and hard to beat and any idiot can use one

cheers

swampbuster 03-23-2013 07:10 AM

I love my mouth calls

rritchey sr. 03-24-2013 09:22 AM

I use a mouth call, but I have a glass caller that has brought me gobblers when the mouth wouldn't so I say it is my glass caller.

wetley49 03-25-2013 05:31 AM

I always have a knight and hale mouth call when bow hunting. When I take the gun I'll take along my slate call, but i mainly use the mouth call.

RIStrutStopper 03-25-2013 05:40 AM

My Primos Power Crystal has called in more gobblers for me than any other in my vest, it always comes with me.
