Great advice, but shot size is something you need to check your State Regs for. Some states do not allow #6.

Thanks for posting this. I will be going on my first turkey hunt this Spring in Texas and it will be a bow only hunt. More than likely I will have someone with me to do the calling in the blind so I can focus on my shot. I thought this might be the best thing to start off with.

Thanks for the great advice, even if I wasnt the one who asked for it!
