Best turkey broadhead?
 

Just trying to see what everyone thinks is the best turkey broadhead, experiences with them, and suggestions? Thanks

i have taken 4 toms with the bow, kinda old fashion i am. shoot bow a howatt 45 #'er and a 50 # older compound. i use the old bodkin three blade head that i have killed over 60 head of big game with. if you hit em' they die. also of note, with my relatively light bows, to date i have hit 4 toms anywhere from above the beard to under the chin with a bullhead and everytime it has bounced off. guess i gotta pull it back further, not hurt birds so far with that head

here is one bird that didn't make it. also as in another post, with my rather light bows i have had no luck getting a mechanical to penetrate far enough to hurt the turkey

Nice! Apreciate the insight and thanks for sharing! Thats exactly what I wasnt sure about, using a fixed blade or a mechanical. Was thinking the Rage tukey head in a 3 blade or just maybe a muzzy 3 blade or another type of fixed blade

Montec 1 1/4 stainless steel Broadheads fly real true and get good wound channels. Mine fly just like a field point,no tuning needed.

confused. as i have stated in another post, i shoot a fairly light bow. this one is an older indian archery recurve and i pull it about 46 #'s. i shoot a 2016, 29 inch shaft with either a three blade bodkin or three blade rocky mountain razor. the arrow fly's at just over 170 fps. i was shooting between 15 and 17 yards, with this set up, years ago i have shot clean thru elk, deer and antelope. anyway, last winter i hit 5 turkey, all broadside, all just above the leg and forward just a bit, exactly like the book says. all five arrows bounced off, fell at the feet of the turkey, no blood, meat, hardly a feather on the head, mostly the birds didn't even run off. don't know what is happening unless due to the lower weight of the bow, the rib cage is absorbing some of the shock, plus the wing in cushioning the hit. one thing, using a recurve never exceeding 50#'s i have taken far more big game animals and bigger variety than you probably ever will so i don't need to listen to things like different or sharper broadheads. if i can kill a half dozen elk with the bow, a turkey should be no problem. i have killed a number of them but this is perplexing, any ideas, been thru it befores.
