A Close Encounter
 

Took a new hunter on our Indiana Youth Hunt Saturday morning trying to get his first ever Deer,he hesitated and a little 4 pointer was alowed to live another day. 30 minutes later 3 nice Toms got within 8 yards of our tree,unfortuately it's not Turkey gun nor was it Bow season yet. But my young hunter wants to get after them on the 17th. when gun comes in. We could of doubled up on them nice Toms,one was sporting a 8 to 9 inch beard about 20 lbs. the other 2 were a bit smaller but not Jakes. It was fun watching his eyes open wide when they got so close,gotta love hunting with young ones.
