RE: chokes
There' s a bunch out there. Just thumb through an edition of Turkey Call and you' ll see. Try a few if you can and pattern them at diffent ranges (ex. 20-30-40 yds).
As for brand names, I' ll throw these names into the mix: Comp-n-choke, Kicks, Briley (any wing/clay shooters out there?) Rem & Win factory. A XX Full Comp-n-choke w/ Win supreme, #4 shot is my gobbler " medicine" |

RE: chokes
For my 870 Super Mag, I use the super full rem choke with 3" Remington or Winchester #6' s. Puts about 40 pellets in about and 8" circle at 40 yards! Just slams ' em![:-]

RE: chokes
I use the ported Gobbilon Thunder with the winchster #6 tukey shot. Pattens great.

ORIGINAL: poult I also use a Rhino choke .673, 12ga. 3-1/2 with 4x5x7 Nitro hevi shot. Its a deadly combination.:D poult Me too. Are you using a Benelli SBE?? |
RE: chokes
I have an 1187 SM with a hevi shot .665 tube and I use Remington hevi shot 3"
1 5/8 #6.It got me through this season, got 2 birds, but am going to try nitro hevi shot and a Rhino 2" tube for next year if it patterns well which from what I hear it will. |
RE: chokes
I shoot the Remington Ventilator choke tube{.655} with my 870 SM. I have used both the Rem. and Nitro Hevi shot, Unbelievable pattern and the difference in penetration is awesome with the Hevi-Shot.
