Those are both cool and I really like the top one the way it sets off the stuff on the shelves below it.

some of my fan mounts
I made most of these out of 150+ yr-old barn oak. I make some out of cedar, just depending on what people want. I like to display the fan, beard and spurs all at the same time. I don't do any birds I shoot because my wife doesn't like them in the house, so I just do them up for friends and family. I did one for my best friend a couple of years ago when he shot his first bird. I did two this year for friends of mine, and I have done several for my in-laws. Someday I may start charging...

I made this about 25 yrs ago,Its been layin in the attic for some time. That explains the feathers bein all ruffled. All it Takes is a $1.00 styrofoam ring that you can find in ant stores craft dept. and the tail feathers from 5 gobblers. At Christmas time my wife would pin a red bow on it.

Here's my first ever bird 12 yrs ago....still in our rec room.
Plus more beards of course. |
Just had a wierd thought, along the lines of a Jackalope.
Might be funny to do a turkey head mount with the spurs added to the head to look like horns. |
