Hansd down best pattern I've ever shot... But I have reservations about how good they penetrate...
I've shot #6 hevi shot at 40 yards at 1/4" plywood and Win HV #5's... The Win HV #5's had more pellets pass threw the plywood verses the hevi shot #6's...
All you ever read about on all the forums, is how great they pattern...
I've shot 3 gobblers with these shells. One flew away un scaved... The other bird went down but I damn near had to shoot him again shot was about 50 yards(and i was using #5 hevi shot on that one) The 3rd bird was the one I shot last week... He was only about 18 yards... I used it because I was hunting out of a blind and my shortest turkey gun was set up for hevi shot...
I have shot several gobblers with Win HV #5's out to and beyond 45 yards...

I have used Mag Blends, Hevi-13 6's and Hevi-13 7's. All of them out pattern lead shells in my guns by a margin that isn't even in the same ballpark. Never had a problem killing turkeys with them either. Have killed a gobbler out to 40 yards with the 7's and was well pleased with how it folded him up. Have killed turkeys beyond 40 yards with the 6's. If you have one survive at any reasonable distance then you didn't keep your pattern on his head and neck.
