Gobbler mount from 2010
Since I learned how to post pics , I figured I'd post a couple...
Hear is a gobbler I got mounted in 2010... My best gobbler to date 1 3/8 spurs The pic was taken at the taxsidermist shop with a cell phone... Not the greatest pic |

Mr Longbeard, nice mount. My F-I-L was wanting to mount a gobbler if we get one of the big ones we have strutting around the farm. What process do you use once you have it on the ground to keep it fresh for the taxi? Do you skin it, get the breast, bring it to the taxi right away, or throw in the freezer? It was just something we hadn't figured out if we do get one of the big ones.
That is a big if though. A neighbor has killed a 32# bird a few years ago and we have seen about 3 really big birds over the last couple of years, but when season comes, we can't seem to get one over 24# and 9" beard. Thanks. |
Well the taxidermist was only like 20 miles from were I killed Gobbler, so I took bird straight to him after the hunt... As for the meat... I just dropped bird off and didnt take meat...

if you don't mind me asking, where in PA is this taxidermist located, name of the shop, and price?
