Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default My first bird

Got my first bird this past week while hunting in South Texas @ Double Arrow Bow Hunting. Managed to get it with a bow and on film. Beard measured out at 9 7/8 and spurs at 7/8 sadly I didn't weigh him but I'd guess him right around 25-30lbs he's a big boy. Here is a link to the youtube video it has the video then pictures at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeAgYHH_VXg

Nice shooting id guess his weight to be in around the 22 to 23 lb range given the beard and spur length up here in canada that bird would be about a late 2 yr old to a mid 3 yr since your hunting in texas ice forming on the beard and bresking it off isnt a factor like up here in canada .An excellent shot on a fine tom Congrats
go get another
