Peacock locator call

Does anyone use a peacock locator call to get turkeys to shock gobble? I am a little hesitant to try the call on turkeys that have never heard that sound. Any feed back would be appreciated

I have the Woods Wise screaming peacock.I don't think it scares them but cant say for sure.It did help prevent a possible shooting accident though.Once while doing some hen calls another hunter used it while approaching my position.I used it back at him.I don't know which of us was more surprised by that.Anyway right then I figured it was time to move on.Just as I got up a hen launched off the hillside right above between us.Though illegal to shoot hens here in the spring it was good we each knew the other was there just the same.

I have a Knight & Hale hawk screamer that, depending on how you blow it, can be used as a peacock screamer, wood duck call or a woodpecker. The reeds/guts of these calls are all the same. No need to buy 2 or 3 different calls if these are the calls or sounds that you're looking for. Don't ask me how I know!

I have a buddy who has used it when we've hunted together a few times. It has worked. I'd say it's worth having having but only use it when nothing else is working when you're trying to locate a gobbler.
