Turkey Load Shot Size?

What shot size do you prefer?

I'm shooting 6s this year. In comparison to the 5s I have used, they have about 100 more pellets. That, and I shoot a standard full choke, and don't shoot past 35, 40 yds Max.

It's not one of your choices, but I shoot a blend of hevishot....4X5X7 from Nitro company. Pattern density is the main reason, besides much more kinetic energy with the hevishot vs lead.

Cant say as I have a favorite but I have taken most turkeys with 4's,

Copper plated lead 5's... Kinetic energy and pattern density for effectice 40-45 yard shots... Hasent failed me yet:wink:

My last four turkeys were taken with Rem Wingmaster HD #6 (I voted hevi-shot #6) and they seem to work well for me. In '10, I knocked a bird over at 46yds with it. (dropped, flopped, stopped)

I'ved tried Hevi-shot #4, and loved it, but my newer Briley X-full hevi-shot choke tube likes #6 a lot better.
