Best turkey gun?

oh man this is an easy one.. it is simple..
the one that kills turkeys..lol
really i have killed birds with a single H&R 12 guage, mossberg 500, mossberg 535, mossberg 835, remington magnum 870, and remington 870 super mag.....
all of them did fine jobs. bottom line is you do not need to worry about the brand of gun you choose but rather you need to woory about finding the choke and shell(shot) combination that works the best in what ever gun you choose.
you can simplify it a little though. it seems that remingtons really like the indian creek and primos jelly head chokes.. mossberg 835's love them stardot chokes if you can get your hands on one and they are out of production and ppl just dont like to give them up. hevi shot seems to pattern alot better than lead but you can get killing patterns in about any gun with lead with simple tinkering to find the right combo.

I use a Mossburg 535 and it seems to get the job done pretty good.

How much you want to spend?Any action preference?Any of them will surely kill turkeys with the right load/choke.I shoot the 835.

I agree with the any-gun-will-work sentiment. I picked up a used Benelli Super Nova, camo, 26 inch barrel, with the intention of it someday being my dedicated turkey gun. I debated beteen going with a 24 or 26 inch barrel. To me, the short-barrel thing is overrated. I believe a longer barrel will shoot a better pattern. amd how often is a couple of inches going to make that big of a difference in terms of handling? It is, of course, a trade off, and comes down to personal preferance.

Remington or mossberg take your pick...

If you got money to waste by a benelli...

I like 870's :)

Remington 870 Turkey Express or an Winchester Modle 12 Full choke. Either will do the job it depends which one needs a walk.
