I have never shot a banded bird but ran into a biologist in Mexico while hunting the Ocellated and asked him for a band and was given one. good memorabilia.

No certificate for the CO birds. You actually call and talk to the officer who banded them. He takes down the information and lets you know what the bird was doing.

Interesting fact is the majority of the banded birds head east to Nebraska over 30miles from where the study was done. It could be because they were banded in winter flocks and that how far those birds travel to winter. Still fascinating!

Had no idea turkeys traveled that far, and weren't unconscious in the bed of my truck!
